On Thursday 4th November 2025, the Saboba District Assembly received the Northern Regional Director of Controller and Accountant Generals Department – CAGD and his team.
The visit formed part of the CAGD’s working visit to strengthen ties at the MMDA level and to ensure that the Ghana Integrated Financial Management Information System, an electronic platform used by the Ghanaian government to manage public finances, including budgeting, accounting, payment processing, and financial reporting is being is been utilized effectively.
The main goal of the system is to improve efficiency, transparency, and accountability in public spending by consolidating financial information and streamlining financial processes.
Speaking at a short meeting, the District Chief Executive for Saboba, Hon. George Bilimor Wumbei underscored the importance of such visits as it will encourage and strengthen working relationships and
as well introduce best working practices.
The meeting was attended by Heads of Units and Departments of the Saboba District Assembly.
