The Institute of Local Government Studies in collaboration with the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftancy and Religious Affairs and the Office of the Head of Local Government Service – Ghana organized a One Day tailor-made Organizational Development (OD) training for 61 District Assemblies with DPAT Compliance and Performance Needs of which Saboba District Assembly is a beneficiary.
The training was anchored on the theme: “Building High-Performing District Assemblies in Ghana”.
In a welcome address, delivered by Hon. George Bilimor Wumbei, the District Chief Executive for the Saboba District Assembly, he urged participants of the training to pay critical attention to the facilitators as it was going to empower them in the discharge of their duties.
The content of the training was anchored on;
1. Corporate Governance and Management.
2. Local Governance Compliance Requirements.
3. Promoting Organizational Performance.
The training brought together the District Chief Executive, Presiding Member, District Coordinating Director, Heads of Departments, Conveners of Sub-committee of the Execo, Heads of Agencies like, NEDCo, Ghana Police Service and Community Water and Sanitation Agency, as well as Traditional authorities.
